History of Giggle and Grow
Giggle &
Grow is a Non-Profit Organization
creatively developed by a group of talented ministers blessed by being given
the opportunity to do what they truly love in life. This team represents a
legacy of ministering here in the US and around the world through
evangelism.
Giggle & Grow was begun (under another name)
by Elven and Molly Fairchild. This
family is partly responsible for the planting of a number of churches from
coast to coast, here in the US alone. Through out the years, their ministry
grew to include a whole new dynamic when Molly became a ventriloquist. Elven
taught through the use of visual illustrations via Gospel Magic and as a
result their ministry continued to grow. People loved the uniqueness of a
message that you could actually see.
Raising their children in like fashion,
their oldest daughter, Ann Marie Fairchild, also became a ventriloquist and
illusionist. Blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime, she became a member
of a worldwide evangelism team. In just months she had completed a world
tour, and within the next two years she had been on three worldwide tours.
Having her father chaperone on one of her mission trips to India, he too was
introduced to ministering in a foreign land. In the upcoming years Molly and
Elven made numerous trips to India where Elven came in contact with a
food-borne disease that eventually caused him to loose the use of his legs.
Despite being completely paraplegic, and confined to a wheelchair Molly and
Elven made more trips to India which further inspired the Indian people.
Realizing his sacrificial effort in ministering to them, they were even more
receptive to the Gospel. The small church started there has now spawned into
some 240 churches and the small children's church they began has now become
a Bible School and Seminary, teaching some 1200 students.
As you might imagine,
Ann Marie also raised her family with the
principle she was taught as a child. Her son, Granville Clark III is also a
multitalented minister. Having been raised learning the Gospel magic his
grandfather taught him and the ventriloquism his grandmother and mother
taught him he has his own unique brand of ministry. His "magic with a
message" will leave you scratching your head.
Too similar to this family to be considered
an in-law, Granville's wife, Sharon,
uses her writing skills to produce books and teaching material that touch
the lives of today's youth and children. Her stories and illustrations have
added a unique dynamic to this already unique ministry. The love for
ministry she shares with this family has truly created a match made in
heaven.
On September 23, 2004 Elven Fairchild's
15 years of being wheelchair bound came to an end as he was finally called
home. The pain of loss rocked this family, but it only served as a fuel to
continue the ministry and the Fairchild Family legacy. Searching for a more
effective way to take their ministry to the next level, to reach more and
more men, women, and children with empowering messages, they sought to find
a way to break into a broader method of ministry. They decided to create a
Non-Profit company seeking 501-c-3 status in honor of Elven Fairchild and to
continue a legacy that is responsible for where we and so many others are
today.
This ministry is based on Love, Joy, Hope,
and Peace. We love to entertain
using Character building principles. We find that children from 3 to 103
enjoy laughter. When people are having fun, they are in the right frame of
mind to listen, learn and grow. The Joy that only Principle based living
can bring to a life is the best medicine in the world. Proverbs 17:22 "A
merry heart doeth good like a medicine" inspired the name... Giggle &
Grow. Public response to this name has been wonderful. We hope to
continue experiencing Giggles and Growth. |
